I like the idea of Democracy, but I don’t like the way we approach it through the Trustee Model of Representation. It is an obsolete model which was developed many years ago due to technical limitations.
As a Cupertino Union School District board member, I will work in the Delegate Model of Representation. My major promise is to involve the community for important CUSD issues. Many people may have forgotten that the citizens of CUSD are at the very top of the organizational chart. Below is part of the CUSD organizational chart.

My promise is that as a CUSD Board member, I will seek input from CUSD residents for important CUSD issues. Your voice is my voice.
The collective votes and opinions of CUSD residents are more important than those of a few elites.
