My name is Long Jiao. I’m a Cupertino resident and a member of the CUSD Board of Education. This survey is conducted solely by me — it does not represent the CUSD Board, and it is not telling you how to vote.
Two statewide measures on the November 3 ballot affect every Californian:
- Proposition 39 — new voter-ID and citizenship-verification requirements.
- Proposition 40 — a one-time tax on billionaires, mostly for health care.
To help you sort through them, I’ve written neutral, sourced summaries of each — presenting both sides, drawn from the nonpartisan Legislative Analyst’s Office and the measures’ own text. Read them first, then tell me what you think. The survey takes about three minutes:
Prefer to read the background first?
→ Prop 39 explainer — voter ID → Prop 40 explainer — billionaire tax
Every question has a comment box — if the options don’t capture your view, tell me in your own words.
Thank you for taking part.
