My name is Long Jiao and I am a candidate running to be a CUSD Board Member in 2024. I am running because I believe CUSD can be better by having the community involved for important issues, and I believe our Democracy can be better by involving the community for important issues. I would like to use CUSD as an example.
A former CUSD Board member mentioned that she didn’t represent CUSD residents while I, in contrast, take the opposite perspective. I believe that representatives, including CUSD Board members, should represent their constituents. My platform is built based on this idea, which is why I would like to conduct some surveys to understand CUSD residents’ concerns. If elected, I would run more surveys about important CUSD issues to gather feedback from residents.
