Survey FAQs

Q: Why don’t you use existing, fully commercialized online survey systems?

A: I would like the online survey system to achieve following goals:

  • Differentiate registered voters and general public to avoid spamming
  • Allow participants to verify their results to boost their confidence

Unfortunately, I didn’t find an existing survey system achieving my goals above, leading me to create my own system.

Q: Why do you provide two survey URLs in the invitation email?

A: One survey URL (with ‘/vote/’) is specific for the invitation email receiver. Please don’t share that email with other people. The other survey URL (with ‘/optin/’) is for you to share with friends and on social media.

Q: Why do I need to enter my email in the opt-in survey page?

A: If you are a registered voter who registered the email address, but somehow didn’t receive the survey invitation email, you can enter your email address to receive the invitation email.

If you are not registered voter but would like to receive future surveys, you can enter your email address as well.

If you just want to participate in the survey anonymously, you can click on “Vote as anonymous” without providing your email.

Q: After I submitted the survey, a verification code was shown. What should I do with the code?

A: You can save this code to your favorite location. We will publish the full survey results. You can find your response by searching the verification code, so you know your response was counted properly.
